INTRODUCTION: My name is Giulia (pronounced Julia). I'm from Italy, a town
close to Venice, approximately 1 hour drive. What I do? I'm a fashion, personal
style and lifestyle Dubai based blogger as well as a Fashion Marketing & Retailing
second year student at Heriot-Watt University in Dubai.
I started blogging on September 18th 2010, I wanted a space
where I could express myself and share my personal looks with people out there.
It all started with this post, and slowly developed, until
today...My blog, is like my baby, it's an addiction. If i'm not out on the weekend,
I'm either at home blogging, or at starbucks...blogging.
A little bit more about me, my passions and what I like to
do-Photography, traveling, writing and drawing. I moved to Dubai when I was 5
years old, due to my parent's jobs which allowed us to come here to live. When
we first moved here, I went to year 1 and graduated in grade 13. After I
finished high school, during which I studied the International Baccalaureate
for two years, I started my Degree of Entry Programme year in Heriot-Watt and talked
to some professors about which courses would be good for me to take, I wanted
something related to business but with a little bit of creative part to it. In
the end, i chose DEP Design. In year one, I chose Fashion, to start of, first
semester there was both fashion design and a marketing class too. Second
semester of year 1, I chose design, because I was in love with the creative
side of the course...but when we had to make an entire shirt from scratch and
trousers too....I changed my mind a little bit. So, for year 2, I decided to
change my course and study Fashion Marketing & Retailing.
For the entire summer I've been excited about starting Uni, just excited about starting a new adventure through this course. The fact that the course is business related, with a little bit of creativity is just amazing. Okay, to be completely honest, Principle of Management might not sound too "exciting" but, when we finished our first lecture, I was surprised of what a good lesson it was and how much information can get gathered from just a few hours.
Enjoy this post everyone! :)
