A Step Closer

HAPPY NOVEMBER: First of all, Happy November everyone!
I think I've mention here on the blog before, I started my pilot lessons back when I was 16, then because I had tons of work from high school and then I started IB and then Uni came along, i only had the chance to get 25 hours completed but ofcourse, with quitting and only flying once in a while is not good enough. So this weekend, my dad (whose my number one inspiration) encouraged me to go have a trip to the aviation club, and guess what...dream coming true. I will be RE-starting my pilot lessons soon, this time there is no reason to quit. As they say, "you have to MAKE time" if the passion / dream is big enough, there will be time to achieve it.
I added a few pictures for you to see my excitement, as that place is my favorite in the country.

A quote I truly adore and believe: Take Your Passion & Make It Happen.

So, back to University talk, both Cosumer Behavior and Principles of Management have been really great classes, the fact that Mr.Tom is really great at teaching (also mentioned in previous posts). The fact that he doesn't get us students bored when he's teaching, give him 10 extra points. Oh, and maybe the most important thing, when someone doesn't understand something, you can go up to him and ask him to explain it to you after class and so on. Pretty much a really perfect teacher for such subjects.
If i could chose, I'd pick him for my following years as a teacher too.

Did I ever mention TIME IS PASSING BY TOO QUICKLY, it's already November and soon, with a blink of an eye, it'll be January 2014. Gosh, someone pause life and make time go slower.

Hope you all enjoyed the blog so far!
Oh, and enjoy the pictures below! :)

Back To Uni!

BACK FROM THE HOLIDAYS: It's been a while since we came back to Uni from our Eid holidays and guess what? I was completely right, we're now filled with work and new projects and there is barely time to sleep. As I updated you with the previous posts, the Eid holiday was pretty fantastic, I did a bunch of things and saw a lot of my friends too. In just two days, it's that time of the year, Halloween. I'm dressing up as an Angel Of Death, my outfit is basically black leggings, black tutu, black corset, black wings and black wig. My make up is heavy eye make up (dark red and black) and I don't know about the lipstick yet. I'm super excited about Thursday night, I'll be going to a few different locations with different friends.
The concert we went to, Rihanna was absolutely amazing. So much fun dancing and singing at the top of our lungs.
About University, I'm not so excited about time flying by because as i mentioned in a previous post, that means that exams are getting closer, closer and closer. On the positive side, December is just around the corner, which means that Christmas is almost here, this year I think we'll celebrate a bit different then the previous years. I'm super excited for the new adventures.

I hope you all enjoyed reading my blog posts, and I really hope you liked the few pictures I added to make the posts a little more interesting.
See you soon with a new post!

Loving The Holidays

STILL HOLIDAYING: So the past week has been really really great, in terms of goals and aims, achieved almost all of them in less than a month (the long term ones). Training has been going really great. University work, at a very good point with CCS project and always researching and studying Consumer Behavior, Principles Of Management & Buying and Merchandising.
Holiday wise, i love being on holiday, like almost everyone. I've been going to see a bunch of my friends, doing different things, i love change and doing different things everyday. I went to Fujairah one of the days, with my family, another day we went camping with a bunch of my friends, in Hatta. It was awesome because I've always loved camping and this time it was very organized and everyone did a pretty decent job at bringing everything needed. I love driving off-road. Other days we just had game night at home and so on. So pretty much every day or night something different which was amazing.
So basically holidays have been really awesome, the worst part will be when we go back to uni and they fill our agenda with work & projects we have no time to sleep. It is almost certain this will happen & I will not be surprised when it does.

I'm still shocked on today's date by the way, it feels like yesterday that I was writing the first post on the blog.
I keep saying this but I doubt it will happen, I hope time passes by less quickly, because this is becoming ridiculous.

Unfortunately, It is now time for the end of the post, I hope you're enjoying each and every post of mine, oh and the pictures too. Hope you all have an amazing Eid holiday!
Soon, we will be back in Uni!
Speak soon with a new post!

Mid-October & Mid-Holiday!

MID-OCTOBER & MID-HOLIDAYS: So as I mentioned last time, time is FLYING! And it's already mid October which means it's week 5. Another words it's been ages since Uni started.

Principles of management as I mention on my last post has been going really well... Mr.Tom is by far a great teacher, he doesn't make the class boring, in other words, he makes the class entertaining in a "learning way". Basically, the way he teaches is good.

So the summery of what we have been taught so far, week 1 was an introduction of course, it was why we study management and so on. Then in week 2 we studied how management is changing the environment, the environmental context such as macro-environment. Pestel framework was another thing mentioned. In week 3, we learnt the business strategies such as the marketing positioning and branding and so on.
Another few things mentioned that week were the mission statement, boston consulting growth, leadership strategy and many more.

In the last post I also mentioned some stuff about my "dream-job list", I'm still working on that ofcourse but let's just say, I'm achieving some of my goals as the days, weeks and months go by! Yaay me!
We're in mid-holiday so next week shall be interesting!
I'm looking forward to next week's lesson!
See you soon with the next post!

Holiday Time

CLOSER AND CLOSER: As you're probably reading this, we are currently enjoying the current holidays. Okay, maybe not so much enjoying but working on CCS and studying Consumer Behavior, Principles of Management as well as Buying and Merchandising. This holiday, even though it started not too many days ago I've had time to catch up on my sleep, and work on a few other things. This holiday was probably much needed for each and every one of us due to the amount of work load we have to get done.
All the classes have been going good for now, I don't know if I'm the only one but Consumer Behavior gets more interesting every lesson. I know I mentioned this a few times but time is flying by way too quickly. Like no joke, in a couple of weeks, we'll be sitting on those chairs writing exams. Hopefully, time will go a little slower since we're on holiday, but they say time passes quickly when you're having a good time. Oh well!

These couple of days, I will be studying, working on CCS, tanning & training like crazy, oh and hopefully sooner or later I will re-start my pilot lessons.
Sometimes, depending on my mood, i love routines and other times I cannot stand them. Everyday, in the morning at around 6:20 (depending when there is sun rise) I go out for my run, then come home do my other workouts (upper body and lower body) then go shower, get ready and then drive to University. It's a bit obvious, routines are fun only if they're not boring, but that's obvious. So, since none of my family likes working out before / during sun rise, I have to entertain myself.
I hope you're all having a great holiday. Stay tuned with a new post!

Time Passes By

HAPPY OCTOBER: Well as you all know, weeks have gone by and it's already October! It feels like yesterday that we went into the fashion lab and Mrs.Vanessa was telling us how in week 5 we have a week off because of Eid! Well, this week is already week 4, which mean there are 3 days of Uni left and then there is one week off, one week of holiday. Which will include, doing research for Consumer Behavior, finishing 10-20 pages of CCS plus research folder, research for Principles Of management, and so on. So basically a fake holiday, the best part will be catching up on sleep and my favorite hobbies, such as blogging and working out. During the Eid holiday, I'll also be back to attending my Pilot lessons, which by the way I'm super excited about. I'll put up some pictures to show you all. I've been excited about this holiday not only for catching up sleep but also for the fact of not having to go to Uni every single day besides Mondays.

Principles of Management, as I mentioned in the previous post, hasn't been bad at all. It gets interesting every week, and may I just say...Mr.Tom is the best teacher this year, funny, active in class (doesn't make the students fall asleep) and so on. Basically I've been very lucky with teachers since I started attending Heriot-Watt University! I'm so happy to have such great lectures. This year is about evolving the subjects and knowing each topic better each week, with all the research, questions, reading, Mr.Tom as a teacher, i'm almost certain it will work out well.

So as you are reading this, I'm probably researching more things on this subject for the class this Tuesday!
That's it for today's post! Hope everyone has a fabulous week! Don't forget always check out this blog for more blog posts!

Moving Forward

THE NEXT STEP: For a very long time now I've been thinking of what I want to do in the future and where I would want to go and achieve with the course I'm currently studying. My conclusion wasn't very clear, but good enough for me to understand that, from the course I'm currently studying which is Fashion Marketing & Retailing (FMR) which for semester one the topics / subjects are: Consumer Behavior, Principles Of Management, Contextual & Contemporary Studies (CCS) & Buying & Merchandising. All of these classes were / are super interesting and all of them somehow go back to fashion. Which is why when I think of the achievement or the conclusion of the course and what I want to do in the end it all makes sense.
The fact that during this summer I did an Internship at Shape Magazine Middle East, which was absolutely amazing because of the amazing team and I had the opportunity to write a few articles for the September Issue, I had the chance of also attending a bunch of photoshoots and see what goes on behind the scenes. The experience was really incredible. So my conclusion was that I want to be in fashion field but somewhere that involves writing articles.
I have a list with the title “Future Dream Jobs” and some of them which are involved are: Fashion Editor, Stylist, Fashion PR and Buyer. So studying this course at University will help me with almost all of my “dream jobs” mentioned earlier.
I’ve added some pictures to this post including the part of the article which mentions my name which I was so proud to see when the magazine was published. Seeing my name after I wrote an entire article and it was published everywhere in Dubai and other emirates was one of the biggest achievements as it’s one of the things I would like to do as a profession.
See you soon with the next post!
